Magdalena Namysłowska, PhD in Medicine

In 1996, Magdalena graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw and a year later she started working at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology, at the Clinic of Affective Disorders, where she gained an extensive knowledge about depressive disorders. She obtained a first-degree and a second-degree specialization in psychiatry in 1999 and 2002, respectively, and after four years she received a certificate in psychotherapy awarded by the Section of Psychotherapy of the Polish Psychiatric Association. The same year, Magdalena also defended her PhD Thesis entitled: A Spectrum of Marital Relationships between a Person Suffering from Affective Disorder and their Spouse.

For two years, she was Chief Physician of the Day Care Department of Affective Disorders. Today she co-manages the Warsaw Centre for Psychotherapy and Psychiatry. She’s an author of numerous scientific papers, and she participates in specialist conferences, also as a speaker. In her practice, she offers counselling to people suffering from depressions, affective disorders, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders (e.g. anorexia and bulimia). She works as a medical consultant and she conducts individual psychotherapy as well as marital therapy.
